You do not need calc at Med. School. However, what else you will count for math requirement? You have to check with adcoms of Medical Schools if they let you have 2 semesters of Stats instead. D. had AP credit for cals and one semester of Stats and it has worked. Stats are much more useful for medicine and it is an easy A at college.

I took precalculus for my bachelor degree requirement, but I've never come across a PA program that requires precalculus, and certainly not calculus. Statistics, however, is a prerequisite or a recommended course for a handful of programs so be sure to get a 3.0 or higher in that class if you're considering any of those programs.
